Lake Dredging Update

July 24, 2024 - Here's an update on the dredging construction. The contractor has mobilized the site and set up all the equipment. However, due to the significant amount of naiads and algae that has accumulated in the pond over the past few months, the contractor needs to adjust their methods to remove the naiads and algae first before dredging. We have scheduled an aquatic herbicide application for July 29^th, which will take about a week to take effect. Dredging is expected to resume in early August. Please see the attached picture for reference.

July 10, 2024 - The long awaited, and much needed dredging of the South Lake is finally beginning this week. The streets of Loch Maree and Burns Run are officially closed as the staging of the dredging equipment is beginning.  As a reminder, please use Laird’s, Fallkirk, and Dalmalley as your Detour routes to navigate this area for the next 4-6 months as the South Lake finally gets the attention it needs.  There will be fencing installed around this area, so please keep children and pets away from the fenced areas for their safety.  

Bulky Trash collection is the 2nd Monday of the month.   Click here for information from the City of Dallas.

Sidewalk Replacement Program

Maintenance of sidewalks is the responsibility of the homeowner.  The City of Dallas does have a cost sharing program that is available to those who may need to repair the sidewalks adjacent to their property. Here is a link to a City of Dallas brochure that describes the program:  Sidewalk Replacement brochure
